Hi Guy’s,

I have been invited here as one of your resident reviewers. I have been listening to music, like most of you, all my life. Music was my first love, I hope that Heaven, or Hell, for that matter have such luxuries as good quality music.

So who am I and where do I come from?

My name is Anthony (Tony) Cummings, I live in the UK and I am 40 years of age. OK that’s the boring bit done. 

What am I about ? 

Frankly there are two sides to me. There is my professional side (Anthony) who works for a global corporation where I am employed as a Project Manager giving training to Engineers. I also  set up systems, protocols and procedures for Managers. When at work I am disciplined, multi-dynamic and very influential.

Then there my other side….

I produce music of the Electronic genre that I like to think that is of high standard. The music I create is rich in feeling, emotion and rhythm.

I Dj also, I was working out my own Bpm’s back in 1982 when I purchased my first set of decks “Cloud Series 2″ with no pitch Adj!! Calculating my own Bpm’s was very important especially not having any pitch adjust decks. Back in the very early 80’s there was not such a thing as a slip mat. So I used to cut out old record inner sleeves to get decent slip. Today I have a set of Technics SL 1200 that I purchased back in 1996 which still get used today. My DJing abilities are very high, I was mixing, cutting and scratching way before it became fashionable.  

My take on music

I believe that music is the universal language. Does it matter if your your Spanish, Greek or Chinese? No of course not, music in the form of keys mellodies and chords say the same thing to every individual, no matter who they are or where they come from.

Why is music so important to the Human Being?

Music allows the producer/composer to communicate their feelings and thoughts to another with the use of timing, tones and “phrases”. Without this kind of none verbal communication we would not be able to develop our ”inner eye” and have our minds opened to places other than Terra Firma or reality.

What can you expect from  MIND Review?

When ever I give a review I speak as listener, Dancer, Raver, Clubber, DJ and as a skilled producer (yep done it all). So rest assured you get a full review of what i heard and felt. My words are always respectful and I build my reviews in such a way that the producer/s understand what I have said and why, exactly. If I ever have to criticise I tend to be very compassionate and afford the artist the dignity and respect that should be afforded to all, regardless.

Over the next few weeks you will see my participation growing within this community because I think that it has potential.

I will no doubt review your music at some point in the future. So please don’t be afraid I am here to help you achieve your goal, your music to the masses. I am a good sounding board, I will give an honest and imparcial view of how hear your music and how I see your image. 

Each and every OMD has its own characteristics this included. If you see my reviews in the wrong place please tell me. I look forward to chatting with you all very soon.
