Eropica
Bass player Peter Romanowski is the man behind Europica. He started playing at the age of twenty four and hasn’t looked back since. Having gigged the pubs and clubs in and around his home town it was listening to reggae artists such as Scientist, King Tubby, Bob Marley and Aswad that made him go out and buy a bass.
Whilst listening to Europica you can either chillout or get up and dance. Horns, pianos, synths and groovy drums bring his addictive basslines alive which will have a hypnotic effect on the listners. It’s all about the bass.
He also writes Electronic Dance Music. With sweeping arpeggios, strong melodies and pumping basses. It’s a happy vibe he likes to create.
Peter also collaborates with other artist around the World. The genres he has explored in these ventures are Blues, Pop, Rock and Country as well as Reggae. All collaborations have been accomplished through the internet with musicians from Europe and America
Bands
His first band was a Rock outfit called Motorboat which was later named Metal Ryders of the Surf. Playing their own brand of rock which they called Sheet Metal Music around Bedfordshire and Lincolnshire in the eighties. Their claim to fame was having their gigs plugged by the late John Peel.
The Nightshift, Handy and Chicken Inspectors (taken from a Daffy Duck cartoon) were all cover bands. They played mostly around Bedfordshire. The latter were by far the most successful gaining local media attention and a large following wherever they played. Their highlight was playing at the Bedfordshire Millennium Festival.
