Now here at Atom Sounds we have been a keen follower of Dementio13 and have a collection of tracks on our trusty iTunes and iPods, so how delighted were we when we had an email from Paul aka Dementio13 about the release over at Last.fm, so off I shot to check the tracks out.
As usual all the tracks were free, so I immediately downloaded them and put them on my iPod ready for some serious playing.
Boy I’m not disappointed with the Blacklung Mixer all the tracks are up to pauls’ high standards and as he says on the album page at last.fm it truly is “A completely eclectic mix of old skool beats, abstract electronica, acid house, epic electro, cinematic trip-hop, drum n bass and broken IDM.” and it is a pure joy to listen to. My favourite tracks so far after several listens are: A Virus is Coming, Defrost and Terrorhawks In Your Head.
Ok so there will be those out there that don’t like this genre of music, but those of us out there that are not cloth-eared nincompoops will enjoy the effort and wizardry that has gone in to fantastic release.
If you would like to hear more and even get your hands on the tracks then check out the link below, for the full track listing and download links

Groovy review. Wizardry is the word for Dementio13’s prodigious output and the Blacklung Mixer album has an especially fresh and uptempo energy that gets your body grooving and your mind tripping wherever you are (watch out for traffic lights if you are going iPod!). Highly recomended of course!
