REMERGENCE….

Some where between Acid House, Trance and Techno is a highly fertile ground that several artists around the world are exploring. Some use this un-chartered territory to thier own advantage breaking new ground and descovering strange and unique sounds, this is where Remergence are now, using the technollogy and original concepts that push back the barriers and limitations.

Take for example….

This track opens with the most menacing synth, swirling around you head with malevolent intent. Then you understand that this is not here to cause you any bodily harm only to cause mild psychosis on the un-susspecting passer by. The first listen to this and think Hmmm, this is ok. But what i want you to do is listen to this again and again and again. There is so much going on in this, the control with which this is done, Is not only impressive but inspiring to. The track lends itself more over to “Ye old Skool Stylee” of the Electronica spectrum and yet can stand firmly on solid ground among the “New Skool Technocollege graduates”….

What really grabbed my attention is the delightfull EYE LASH flickers of the stab synth @2:47. Under the influence of your favourite recreational, this would send you way way, way up there. The FX given to this synth  sound superb, not actually sure if the filters were opened up or if a Phaser was used. Either way it sounds realy cool and fresh.

Another thing that really impresses me is that, although this is very experimental in its approach. The fluidity with which it progresses along its path is unhindered and feels natural.

What would I have changed about this? not a lot really.

This track has the opportunity to go a lot longer that it is, it is flexible in many ways. This could be taken to the dance floor for this to happen it needs to be DJ friendly. Extend the Intro by at least one minute, introduce the rythmic sounds earlier so a DJ can get an early fix on the BPM.

Ease the movement progressivley in the early stages of the track just to aid DJ mixing compatabilities, then do as you see fit after.

The theme’s in this track were a little underfocused and jumbled hence “Attack of the Warped groove”… Great name, describes the track perfectly. Focusing on just one of the many opportunities in this track could bring forth a monster of a track with Mammoth proportions!!

For me the winner in this was…

The eye lash blinking stab synth, superb. Never heard anything like that before right out of the top draw!!

Also the control of the numerous FX, panning stabs and delay’s. It is detail like this that puts

“REMERGENCE in the premier league of Electronic Producers”.

The finest ingredients are right in the mix, this is an intoxicating elixir of classic throbs punchy stabs and rythmic pulses that are well beyond your average mix.

    I only write what I hear and your music is not only great to listen dance and chill to, but it is an inspiration for other artists that are just finding their feet.
