Free domains an ideal way to reduce your large URLs

Now we came upon this site recently and have used it for Remergence specially the Remergence MP3 site by creating a new URL ( http://www.remergencemusic.co.cc/ ) which reduced the large URL down and is easier to remember.

CO.CC:Free Domain

co.cc who is allowing this free domain registration also has the option of email setting for your new domain name as well as other forwarding options.

So why is this useful to artists/bands you may be asking!

Well imagine that you have you last.fm music page, we’ll use ours as example http://www.last.fm/music/remergence well you can create a domain name such as www.remergencefm.co.cc which is easier and shorter to remember, this could be used for other site that you have large domain names for such as SoundClick and even store links for iTunes.

Now you do only get two free domain name, but, if you donate as little as $10 you can get as many as 100.

So our advice would be, go get some free domain names to help your fans remember some of you larger URLs ;)
