I have been around for quite a while doing this Internet production thing. Yes, I have seen Electromagnetic Impulses quite a few times, and to my shame I have not ventured to investigate what lies behind such a great artist tag.

Thankfully I have now listened to much of their work and i have to brutally honest it is all of a very high quality but some tracks are much better than others. This guy and his Partner (or The Mrs !!) make music that is indicative of and reflects today’s modern music culture and vibE perfectly.

The music is very fast in pace with hot drum seq’s and bass-lines that would blister your skin if not handled with care. Not sure what I mean? Copy this link into another tab and you will hear what I mean…

I thought I’d choose this track, considering whats happening in the media…

This track starts with a sub 9:85 sec drum seq that gets your head nodding right from the, on your marks, get set, goooo!! The introduction to the band is immortalised by the fruity whisper. What follows is a fantastic bass-line that is edgy, very determined and full of controlled agression that would bite your ass should you choose turn your back on it. Determined to do what I hear you think? Well this track demands your attention, the determination of the producer to get it has worked extremely well. The layers and structure of this track are flawless and should serve as a bench mark for all would-be/wanna-be DnB producers out there. I have been on few DnB dance floors in my time and I can say with out any doubt in my mind, that this would stand up on its own two feet among all other tracks being played.

I have listened to nearly all of this guy’s work, its a fusion of modern and old Skool Electro/Trance/Techno. This track however stood out to me, not because I prefere DnB quite the contrary I much prefere Techy-Trance or electro. Its just that this track in relation to his other works sounded fuller, more energy and has that much needed component for a hot track, LIFE… 

What would I have done to this differently? Not a thing.    

This guy’s and Gals music is spontaneous, full of spirit and full of determination. These are great qualities for a band that should reep the rewards ”IF” they stay focused on thier strengths.

    Another great review there TonE, anyone who hasn’t heard Jays’ amazing work should check him out after reading this review, we love him so much he’s one of our artists ;) ;)
