Warner Music Group has told YouTube, the video sharing site, to remove music videos by its artists from the site.

Contract negotiations have ended because Warner wanted more money for having its music on YouTube.

But the Warner channel was still available on YouTube on Monday and Warner is reportedly still keen to reach a settlement.

I think now, the Jeanie’s out the bottle. There will always be free versions of all music. I don’t see the problem. I listen to stuff for free and then if I like it, I’ll buy the album. I did this with Radiohead’s latest album. I would listen to the tracks for free on last.fm but eventually I wanted all track in one place and on devises other than a computer, so I bought the album. The question is would I have done this if I couldn’t enjoy the music first.
