This months recommended CD is the truly outstanding prog rock album Echoes in Time by Port Mahadia, this ten track CD features Atom Sounds very own artist William as guest keyboard player.

“Echoes in Time from the band Port Mahadia. This album not only features some of the best musicians in the world of progressive rock but also marks a new step forward for some American musicians who have finally received the opportunity to explore their love of the progressive genre.

Echoes In Time was written by guitar virtuoso Cameron Castle alongside bassist and lyricist Erinn Waggoner. This first collaboration of the two resulted in an album with dramatic musical shifts from the sublime and upbeat song, “Distant Shores,” to the dramatic and heavy sound of the track, “Requiem of the Mind”. Lyrically the interwoven story tells an exciting tale while leaving room for the listener’s mind to discover their own meaning at the conclusion of the album. This weeks recommended track of the week is from Sunburn in Cyprus and the amazing track In The Sunshine an amazing track that makes you yearn for those warm summer days to come racing back.

Sunburn In Cyprus, based in Goettingen (Germany), was founded in 1998 as an avenue to produce electronic music outside of members regular musical work.

Beside remixes for different artists, Sunburn In Cyprus focuses on many different genres such as triphop, house, lounge/chill-out, dance – mixed with catchy pop vocals and jazz influences. Their fanbase includes now listeners all over the world, especially in Australia, Germany, UK, Canada and the USA.

Originally just a studio/remix project with several/changing members, Sunburn In Cyprus also present these songs, tracks from the CDs “Voodoo on demand”, “Traffic Jam” and the current album “Raw & Mixed” as well as brandnew unreleased tracks live on stage since early 2005.

Organized Confusion member and new to the DB Militia, ADMYER has been collecting the roughest vinyl around. He is sure to have a few tracks you have never heard! With influences such as Pendulum & Concord Dawn, ADMYER trys to push the electronic sound to new levels not heard before in the DnB community. He only believes in bringing the heat every time he spins out. Stay on the look out for the DB Militia and Organized Confusion to take over!

16 year old female vocalist from Baltimore with experienced band playing original material16 Year old female vocalist from Baltimore Maryland with an experienced band playing originals and covers. She is currently working with a very good manager and they are deciding which path to pursue. She is also taking vocal lesons from Steve Whiteman of KIX (National recording artists from the 80’s) We are currently recording the remainder of their first CD Love is Blind and we are looking for an interested record company.

Ambient India is an outstanding track that is a very much loved favourite here at Atom Sounds and that is why we have chosen it for this weeks recommended track of the week.
